Shadowcast Longbow

The Shadowcast is a classic longbow that is 1 1/8" wide at the fade outs and has the classic Hill style longbow profile. It comes in lengths of 60" to 68" with a standard grip that is slightly dished with a double ball, that can also be made with a recurve, Hill style or custom grip. The 60" to 64" Shadowcast has a 20" riser while the 66" and 68" has a 22" riser. The limbs are highly reflexed which give this bow excellent cast, surprising speed, and an excellent shooting experience  while maintaining the traditional D shape longbow shooters love.

If you are a longbow traditionalist the Shadowcast will satisfy your desire for a smooth drawing, almost no handshock, hard shooting, heavy arrow loving, sleek and lightweight hunting weapon.

Prickly Ash Longbow

The Prickly Ash Longbow  is available in lengths of 56" to 62". See recommendations for draw length / bow length on ORDER page.
The Prickly Ash comes with the standard slightly dished grip with a double ball for positive hand placement and can also be made with a recurve, Hill style, or custom grip.

The Prickly Ash Longbow is a hybrid longbow with no handshock and recurve performance. Very lightweight in the hand and with the forward handle a very forgiving hunting weapon. The limbs have a very radical deflex / reflex which pre-load at rest creating a very smooth draw and pleasurable shot that is surprisingly fast for such a lightweight bow.

The Prickly Ash Longbow in the one piece model will supply you with a superior, forgiving, hard shooting hunting weapon that you will be proud to shoot.

Recommended brace height 7" to 7 1/2".

Shadowhawk Recurve

Introducing my latest addition, the Shadowhawk One Piece Recurve. I designed this bow looking for a classic 50's style recurve to offer and it has turned into my favorite bow. It has a straight riser that is balanced in the hand with highly reflexed limbs that are nearly vibration free. The limbs are 1 1/4" at the fade outs and slim down to 1/2" at the tips. This bow is a 50's style with muscle, excellent cast and speed. This bow has been tested and shot well with a brace height as low as 5 3/4" and was still quiet with no handshock.
I recommend 6 1/2" to 7".

I currently offer the Shadowhawk One Piece in 60 and 64". It can be made with any of my grips or a custom grip of your choosing. The bow pictured on the right is made of curly maple and red cedar limbs and has my double ball grip with beavertail wrap. The bow on the left is figured osage with limited edition black walnut with a leather wrapped grip. The 60" can be shot up to 29" draw and the 64" can be shot at any draw length.

Take-Down Prickly Ash Longbow

The Take Down Prickly Ash Longbow is made with a 12 1/4" riser and the same  deflex / reflex longbow limbs as the one piece version. The arrow shelf is cut to center and slightly radius putting the arrow very close to the hand.  The standard grip is slightly dished with a double ball and can also be made with a low, medium, or high wrist recurve grip, Hill style or custom grip. This bow has a recommended brace height of 7" to 7 1/2" and can be made in lengths of 58" to 62". See recommendations for draw length / bow length on ORDER page.

The three piece Prickly Ash longbow makes a lightweight, hard hitting, excellent bows for target or hunting and my most popular bow. I designed this bow to be a forgiving, all around good shooting hunting weapon.
